Vadym Lapin reported, (May 28, 2019, 4:05 PM)  “I also want to site a small review of our kids tournament, if you don’t mind, (cross-table is attached): April 27, 2019 in the town of Sunville our event took place which has already become a traditional tournament for checkers, particularly our youth checkers program. The tournament was attended by 20 children in three age groups: 4-6, 7-9, and 10-16 year olds.”

“I want to note the great progress in this game, and also the level of disciplines and sports etiquette has significantly increased!”

“A hard struggle broke out in the older group. Konstantin Kotelnikov, the winner of the last tournament, won all the games before meeting with Yegor Alay. Yegor managed to get the upper hand in the confrontation with Konstantin and the question about the winner of the tournament was practically removed. However, the fight for the second place unexpectedly escalated when Maxim Shilov managed to defeat Egor in the last game of the tournament and scored as many points as Konstantin Kotelnikov. The guys played an extra match in which Konstantin won.”
